Ring of Fire remained in #1 of the US Charts for seven consecutive weeks. Its straightforward lyrics like “Love is a burning thing and it makes a fiery ring, bound by wild desire I fell into a ring of fire”, anchored by melodic strings and slight trumpets, made Ring of Fire one of the best 30 Country songs ever written. Encompasses the soul of Johnny Cash, talking about love, faith, and the agonies of a love affair, Ring of Fire is a little diamond in the history of country music.

Dolly Parton, a Tennessee born female country music singer, songwriter, actress and author achieved multiple Grammy-award winning, 25 #1 hit singles in the US country charts and 42 Top Ten country albums in the history of country music. As time went by, the Texas trio Dixie Chicks achieved multiple Grammy-award winning (Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, Best Country Album and Best Country Performance by a Duo or a Group) being the highest-selling female band in the history of music with a record sales of over 36 million albums.

There’s Your Trouble (1998) was a traditional twang with soft melody, instrumental anchorage, foot-tapping rockabilly and pop harmony reflecting Chick’s instrumental virtuosity. The song had made a great impact as Dixie Chicks, famous for their outspoken political comments, have insulted George Bush for his political acts and the war in Iraq.

Many people who put their heart into music, put their business into music teaching. There are many fields of music education and if you are proficient in one or more you will surely find work. The first thing that a music teacher has to do is choose what he or she will focus on, be it an instrument, voice coaching, music theory or even music history. Next comes the time to assess your own knowledge on the topic. If you have a degree of Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Master of Music, you are probably comfortable enough teaching at any level. People who are just getting into the acting business have quite a few misconceptions about how the casting process works. Many agents and casting directors go to these small theaters looking for talent.

By definition an agent is someone who finds work for an actor at a fee of about 10 to 15% of whatever he earns for that job. In getting the audition in the first place, you or your agent are going to have to submit a photo and resume to the casting director. Understanding these issues will make it much easier for you to decide which agent best fits your ambitions and talents. Research is the key to finding an agent that suits your needs. Yes sometimes the casting agent will have them there for you but why rely on them to determine you success. Take some classes, work on some student projects and then keep knocking till you find an acting agent that is genuine.

Before you leave your home, make sure you have your headshot/resume neatly stapled together, the address and a map of where the audition is, and the phone number of the auditors in case you get lost. If you’re young, audition for some graduate or undergraduate programs even if you probably wouldn’t go.
